Due to the high demand on places, in the event that your plans change and you need to cancel your child’s space, we require at least 2 weeks notice. A £20 cancellation fee will be deducted from your refund. If we manage to fill your child’s space, a full refund will be provided.

We need a minimum of 6 children in order to run each camp. On very rare occasions when we have been unable to fill spaces, we may need to cancel or provide an alternative, such as merging two age groups together.

In the event that this happens we will give you as much notice as possible so you are able to arrange childcare. If a camp is cancelled you will be offered a full refund.

How it works/What to bring

Unfortunately not. This is a question we are asked often. As we’re OfSted registered as an after school and holiday club, the law states we can’t look after under 5s for more than 4 hours a day.

My child has attended longer camps elsewhere… this is also something we hear a lot. Many childcare providers aren’t aware of OfSted rules so may not be aware that they’re breaking them. It may also be that your club is registered on the compulsory OfSted register for day care settings and is operated by nursery qualified and Level 3/4 childcare staff.

Our camps for ages 8 to 14 are mainly kept separate from our younger camps throughout the day, but on quieter weeks may merge for snack and lunch times.

Our camps for ages 3 to 4 and 5 to 7 are usually merged together and activities will be planned to entertain both age groups. Children may also take part in age specific activities throughout the day in our breakout spaces.

Yes, we have our own private and secure garden down the right hand side of the Library.

No. Please provide your child with a packed lunch, plenty of snacks and something to drink.

  • Here at Big Time we have a strict no nuts policy and regularly remind children not to share food, as many of the children attending our camps have allergies.

Please put your child in something they are comfortable moving around in and don’t mind getting messy.

  • Holiday t-shirts are optional and can be purchased for £8. Orders need to be placed at least 2 weeks in advance.

  • on sunny days please pack suncream and a hat

  • on cold and wet days please bring a coat

  • If your child is prone to accidents please pack a spare change of clothes

Please make sure all items are labelled with your child’s name.

We’re unable to look after children who are still in nappies however are happy to accept children who are in the process of toilet training. Please ensure you have made us aware and pack spare clothing just incase.
